Back in the "Dark Ages" when I was involved in promoting the 'Burg' I don't remember anyone coming in and reserving seats prior to a race. While I was not in charge of ticket sales, I do believe we did not open the gates until a few hours before hot laps. I guess with that policy reserving seats was not an issue that was even on the table.
