Back in the day, when IRL / Cart / etc. were at odds, several dirt drivers were entering the 500 field. A veteran 500 driver was asked his opinion about being on the track with these inexperienced dirt drivers. This driver commented that anyone that could race full throttle into a dirt turn & kick it sideways had complete respect.
