I am not sure why car count is so important.....maybe to the teams and owners who have to try to make a feature to keep going (why do you think the counts have dropped??) I just watched a race last weekend that had 37-38 cars show up and the feature really wasn't too exciting with the same guy pretty much leading every lap. So did everyone get their money's worth for a 37-38 car show? Or.....I can remember a race a couple of weeks ago at a different track where only 21-22 cars showed up and I think there were 5 lead changes, numerous cars moving forward, and a photo finish....so you tell me, which race gave the fans more value for their money? I say the 21-22 car show with a photo finish. Racing is a gamble for everyone, sometimes you hit the jackpot, other times you bust.....don't matter how shiny the quarter is that you put in the slot machine, if it don't win you the jackpot, it is just another quarter.....
