I haven't been to hypers site lately? You also have to take into account tire circumference. Gear so that you hit the rev limiter or just below it at the end of the straight. Gearing depends on motor, tire size, driving style, track condition and a bunch of other things. That is the fun of it. Cars that hook up better can run lower gears, so when you ask a guy what he is running and you try that and it doesn't work for you>>>>He probably didn't mislead you it is just his set up is different. These are all pretty good guys you will be racing with. Just ask the question (most of the racers will give you a straight up answer) then be prepared to experiment. We generally stay around 11 or 12 to 1 or so on Quarter mile tracks.
