knew steve practically all my life. he was a friend of the family. steve started up at the atomic speedway in the late 60's or early 70's. great guy and always had a smile on his face. I was about 5-6 years old and just got a new bike up at lima, oh. well gramps and steve put it together and the pits were in the infield then. next thing I knew steve was riding my bike all over the infield (and waiving to me) and then dick gaines took it for a spin...they had me mad as hell before hot laps even started....
just had talked to steve about 6 weeks ago. RIP STEVE!!!
