there is a distinct advantage from the shaft cars vs the chain cars. if they had equal drivers there is no doubt in my mind the shaft car would lap the chain car in 5 laps. it showed when they had the "shipman memorial" at thunder valley. the only drive shaft car in the field took a $400 bet (I believe) to start in the back of the field which was +/- 20 cars. he flat walked the dog against arguably 3 of the best lightning sprint drivers in the nation. (weekly of course no shoe in's). he laughed when he accepted the bet if that doesn't tell you anything then you need to get out of "budget" racing because the facts are in front of you. im sorry the lack of talent in Illinois makes for an equal playing field between the two but come on over across the border and you will see.
