Based upon the current leaked info, a D2 motor would be lucky to make 225 horsepower. The Badger rule package is aimed at 350 horsepower. The D2 goal is to make sure a stockblock motor cannot compete with a National motor. At the Kokomo Klash only two stock blocks made the A main & neither was D2 legal.
So you can take your D2 motor to a Badger race and be a legal moving chicane if you want but not the reverse. No word on whether Badger motors would be welcome at National races though. Not that 350 horsepower will win any of those events.
