Currently D-II rules are 875 # for 600cc, 900# for 601-1000cc, 1000# up to 1206 and 1125 for automotive; there are rumblings but not confirmed that 1200-1400cc will be allowed next year but they must weigh 1125 also. I don't think anyone with 1000cc motors will be handicapped by running against bigger motorcycle powerplants that have to carry an extra 250 pounds, but I'm still intrigued by the prospect of going bigger, for purely personal reasons...
