When I arrived yesterday the track appeared like it might be a more typical "Kokomo" track than what we saw Thursday and Friday. After hot laps it was clear this would be the case. That meant the fastest way around was going to be right on the wall. I told several folks this was a DD track and that he would be tough to beat. I was hoping that some of the other rim riders would be able to challenge Dave to make it a nail biter. Unfortunately none of those guys started close enough to the front to challenge. Once DD cleared Stockon and Cummins the victor, in my mind, was decided. DD just does not make mistakes at Kokomo running the top side, as he has said in the past he has made his living on the cushion. That does not mean it wasn't an exciting race. Watching DD run the top wide open is a thing of beauty. Watching Shane run the bottom and make his way to the front was awesome, unfortunately a bump with another car in 4 and a near spin stopped the charge and he was not able to get his rhythm back. Watching Stockon and Cummins battle for second was captivating. Windom was driving hard and Short coming through the field again were other attractions drawing interest.

The entire evening was very satisfying, the King of the Hill format was especially enjoyable. Withdrawal symptoms have now set in. Fortunately I have Jackslash, thanks to my son for this Christmas gift last year, to replay some of this week's action.
