Track owner, Harold Hunter, has been dealing with back problems that has led to extreme pain in his legs and especially feet. He was going to try to wait until the end of the season before having surgery, but doctors felt it needed done as soon as possible. Harold is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, and we didn't want to add to his stress of hosting a race on Saturday as he began his recovery in the hospital.
The plan at the Montpelier Motor Speedway is to race at the rest of the season. We have some of our biggest shows left with the Midgets on September 5 & 19, our huge BOSS Sprint Show on September 12th, and our UMP Modified Event on September 26 ($3000 To Win/$300 To Start).
