Car counts are down everywhere. I'd say the average for either series is probably 10-12 cars for the season.
Furthermore the racing hasn't been impressive either. For instance, Pierce qualified at like 123mph last night while the 12th car qualified at 100 flat or something around there. There were only 3, maybe 4 cars that were maybe competitive enough to win at Baer Field. I'm sure Anderson had a similar story.
At least if both series could hash out some sort of deal there would not only be a better turnout but there would also be more competitive racing all over the track from front to back.
