At Bloomington it's time to learn how to create a dirt surface that holds up and doesn't look like Salem after a few races. You see pictures with the nice red clay but that is deceiving once the show starts. I'd love to see a Helfrich prepared track there sometime as the track has had potential, to me, for years but could be so much better. Races can be good for sure but I always have to really want to go before I make the trip. The drive is getting easier all the time from Evansville and will be a total breeze once I-69 dumps you off basically at the track. If Bloomington had track prep even close to TSS and Kokomo I'd go there a whole lot more. "Instant Classic" and Bloominton are words rarely used in the same sentence but track prep is not an easy task, I wouldn't be any good at it and maybe with experience and a desire to make the surface better it will improve one day. The setting is really cool.
