2012 Mel Kenyon Midget Series Champion Travis Young will return to racing this Saturday night at Anderson Speedway. Newly wed Young, who sits second on the all time Mel Kenyon Midget Series winners list with eight wins, sat out the winter and spring while he and his wife Natasha started their life together.

In addition to his 2012 Championship, Young is always tough at Anderson Speedway. His record in the Mel Kenyon Midget Series features 2 wins and 10 top five finishes in 15 starts in USSA competition.

With Young’s return, there will be more feature winners entered in the Saturday 30-lap feature at Anderson Speedway than at any time in recent memory. Joining Young will be two time Anderson winner Kyle O’Gara along with Dameron Taylor, Logan Huggler and Clayton Gaines, each with one win on their resume.

O’Gara and Huggler we involved in the daring move Gaines put on them exiting turn 4 to come from third to first exiting turn two coming to the checkers on May 20. Taylor leads the series point race coming into Saturday night’s race.

The Mel Kenyon Midget Series returns to pavement racing this Saturday at Anderson Speedway. Wrestling Hall of Famer Rikishi will highlight a wrestling card from 3 to 5 with racing scheduled to begin at 8 PM featuring the Mel Kenyon Midget Series, CRA late Model Stocks Cars and the CRA Street Stocks.
