In a day where it's hard to get cars you send a message that they are welcomed back. All they would of done was start run 2 or 3 laps and pull in. If there was a guy in the top 5 in usac points and a guy in the top 5 of mscs points not make the show they would of took provisionals and started 24 cars anyway. Why not give them the two provisionals and start all 24. Might be bias here because I would like to see Robert Bell make a show this year with the usac tour with him putting everything he has into making his dream come true.
On the backstretch we felt Dave's "Haubstadt jinx" was in play when he was qualifying, but were pleasantly surprised when he set quick time. Guess that's why we use clocks instead of eyeballing them to qualify.
