You're seeing people go Winged racing due to the marketing aspect of it. Purse structure, eh, has some to do with it, but not as much as you'd think.
A birdie told me a few weeks ago that they've gotten more exposure running a limited winged schedule than they ever did running non-wing.
It's easier to find sponsors, especially national ones because winged sprint cars are everywhere. Non wing is a niche (that I love!) but it's only in Indiana, and California. I know Texas and the midwest have some non wing series, but not the 410 variety.
