Actually, a lot of pavement teams run non beadlock wheels. They run higher tire pressures and don't necessarily need bead locks. I have several non beadlock rear wheeels. Unfortunately, I'm using them all.
I've been also known to buy a wheel with a bent outer and bought a new outer half. Still had less then $200 in it.
