This thread has become a joke, much like most threads in this forum...Steve Eckert evokes a thought-provoking, intelligent post about the current and future state of USAC (and his hopes for a renaissance for the series) and you people turn it into a debate of nationalistic sensibilities and patriotism, littered with this board's own special brand of ignorance. It simply amazes me how so completely divisive and oblivious some people can be...
It reminds me of the old saying that is widely (but not irrefutably) attributed to Mark Twain:
