Racing school is an excellent idea. The single best investment I ever made in racing, was attending the two day course at Cory Krusemans Driving school. You take the class in a non-wing car, but I'm sure Cory could give you all the instruction you'd need. He's very familiar with Bloomington. I did pretty well my first time in my own car, and give all the credit to Cory's teaching.
It is in California, however, Cory makes everything easy. When I went he provided all transportation and purchased all meals. It was a really great expirence.
His website Kruseman.com seems to be having issues, but the direct link is
https://www.kruseman.com/Default.aspx.
You can reach him by phone at (805) 649-1243.
