Absolutely. He was basically left for dead (in a racing way), when the MPHG team quit fielding a car. He's almost ran out of money several times. He's had to work a real job, at the same time as he was helping two younger racers and being the driver/crew chief/hauler driver/etc. for his own team. Now, he's won an impressive string on big races, including the Oval Nationals. If he hasn't made himself the favorite for National Sprint Car HOF 410 Non-winged Driver of the Year, I don't know who has.
