I'm glad to see that some Indy traditions are still in tact.
"Sure we'll sponsor you, get the logo's on the car and we'll have the press conference. Afterward we'll get you the check"
There was a real nice guy who hung around the speedway that owned cars from time to time. As he got older, his health wasn't good, but he wanted to be part of it. He would tell guys that they were going to do a deal. He always said:"I'll get you a check in the mail. Start getting a car ready".
He of course never did get the check in the mail, but he always said it was. Anytime we talk about him we just refer to him as "Check is in the mail".
I feel for any team that has already come this far. I hope she gets a deal put together.
