1. In my 50 plus years of auto racing I have never met a paid trophy girl. In the racing divisions I have been associated with the trophy girls are usually family members of someone associated with the track, a competitors daughter or a fan choosen by some sponsor to represent them and their product.
2. IMO if you do not attend a race, you have no reason to post about said race. From the post I have read everyone was glad to be back at a race at the action track. I hope my plans allow me to attend the May 22nd race on my way back to Phoenix.
3. As for unloading, from everything I have read it was the right thing to do. IMO unless you are a competitor you have no reason to whine about this. Every racing division out there has had to unload at one track or another, at Manzy unloading is a weekly event. At the end of a open practice at Oswego Speedway last Saturday the competition director came over the loudspeaker advising the competitors if your trailer is higher than x number of feet you have to unload for Sunday's race. The competitors are the ones that went from hauling to the race track with an open trailer, to the 22 & 24 foot enclosed trailers, to the tractor trailer rigs that most teams feel are needed today. They should have no reason to whine here, most short tracks do not have room in the infield for tractor trailer rigs, hence unloading is necessary to allow the paying fan and competitors families in the stands a view to see the race they are paying for.
