No matter how your putting it, You are taking away from Gordon. Gordon went Nascar because the door was shut in your face if you were Sprint/Midget/Champ guy. Very few got through and it was mainly due to connections. Little Al, Michael Andretti and a few others but there wasn't a door opened until the IRL when Stewart, boat and others got in a bit.

Indycar is 100% bring money,

I got no doubt if Jeff had started Indycar wth a good team he'd probably have five or six 500's

Its a shame IMHO, Back in the 60s-early 70s lots of drivers would compete in many of both series.

Another shame IMHO to me is, Its no longer a test of endurance of man and machine. Until Power Steering etc. The drivers said your arms felt like they were going to fall off. Hands swelling up, Dehydration etc.

Cars now days in both series and expecially INDY 90% of them finish the race 70% on the lead lap That wasn't this way at all until very recently. It was often only 4-6 cars on the lead lap and maybe 12-15 finishing the race.

Jeff would be a success and champion in anything he drove with a good team behiind him, Nascar, Indy, F1.
