We go back to "Basic Design Class 101". Form follows function. Keep it clean and functional. Put your money where it will best help the desired results.
We used to spend a lot of money on paint and graphics. Corvette Chrome Yellow was my favorite color with grabber blue accents color for frame and numbers. The cars were pretty but it gave the fellow racers a heads up on who was besides them. With some racers that is not a good idea.
