Just for the sake of argument, and no disrespect to my friend Sprintcarfanatic....I like the multiple B-Mains. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like that format gives more guys a shot at making the A-Main. If you would have a, say for example, one 16-car B-Main that took say 4 cars up to the A, a lot of the time the guys starting at the back aren't going to have time to move up (most Bs are just 10-12 laps or so). But if you split those 16 into 2 B-mains and took 2 up, seems like guys have a better shot at making the transfer.
