what an incredible weekend of racing/ many thanks to kokomo speedway and to all of the 47 or so midget teams who came out to provide some of the best racing I've ever seen! crowds were o k, but there was room for more butts in the bleachers each night, and for those who chose not to come out to support the midget racing we've so been pleading for, well, I feel sorry for you cause you missed some incredible RACING, SPRINT CARS ARE AWESOME, BUT MIDGETS ARE AWESOMER! (you ain't-a-gonna see anything like this watching sprint car racing, these cars are just as fast as a sprint car and a hellova lot more agile) my apologies to kokomo speedway, as there are hand railings in a couple of sets of bleachers going about 1/4 the way up into the stands, which is high enough to see all the action up close n personal. the track was in great shape and was fast and racey, but could have been wetter and tackier, got sand blasted some what with the gusty winds blowing/ but from what I heard it was all the track personal could do to get the water out of the parking lots and to smooth out the track from all the rain we'd been having, so no complaints. congrats rockin rico n crew! that kids got some serious talent! away from the track, finally made it to the half moon café, good stuff! hopin to see more tracks open themselves up to the midgets, and hopin to see more race fans come out to support them, its the best racing there is folks, no 2 ways about it and power I has their finger on the pulse of it all!
