If you didn't get your money's worth tonight, You just don't like racing. I'll admit, Im not a driver, But i've watched the sport for 40 years and I noticed a couple things.

In the old days some drivers would go up and wheel pack under yellow, Maybe if it only gave them a couple good laps after the green flew but there would be a smooth fast lane to run for a couple laps that the others weren't. Not one did it in the consi. Nadda one, Some went up there under green and most of them broke. Coondog did it in the feature and it moved him from about fourth and dueling with Darland for the lead after a restart before Clauson, Thomas and Gurley (Who ran well for not being at Burg much) got together.

JG did what I've seen only a handful of drivers do at LBurg and thats go search for something the others weren't finding. I've seen Gullick do it, T-Mez, JG and occasionally Windom and Leary. As I said, Im not a driver and either one or two things happened on that lap 27 restart, JRS either hit the hole by accident or knew Grant was faster and attempted to move up to his lane and hit the hole. Announcer said JG was running 4/10ths faster before the caution. I doubt without the caution with two to go Grant would have caught him. Stanbrough had a straight and did what he had to do early to get the lead.

Coondog ran a great race, had a oil leak somewhere but at times was as fast as anyone. Darland was leading, Back to third and finished second in his never give up style. Bacon lost about four spots in the first seven laps from his seventh starting possition but found a way to put them ponys on the ground and fought back up and gained a few to finish fourth.

JRS gathered it up to finish fifth. Knowing the type of racer Stanbrough is, Im sure he's upset as he had em covered and one that got away. However IMHO it's just a glimpse at what that team is capable of. Im sure theres going to be many races he isn't touched!

It was cold by feature time, However I wasn't cold at all till about halfway through the Mod Race which Kramer picked up his 400th in Johnny's terms win

Thanks to the track crew, Officials, Teams, Drivers, Safety Crew etc for coming out!

Chuck, had a ball seeing tons of racing peeps tonight. Was told Shortbus was yelling at me everytime I went by, But when I went looking for him, He must have been hiding. Oh well, I feel better than I have since October's Sprintacular. WINTERS OVER, Even if the chill ain't gone!
