I know Tony is a Chevy guy and has their support of his open wheel programs. But I'm a little intrigued by the idea somebody else mentioned about Stewart joining Ganassi and his connection with Nardelli. If Tony were to go in that direction, that could provide some really cool opportunities. I don't know what Tony's feelings are about returning to the IndyCar series now that unification has finally happened. I honestly do not see him ever driving an IndyCar again. However, I think it would really be cool to see him run something like what S_Meekhof said. Run a third IndyCar for Chip, and when there are breaks in the schedule run the #40 (after they can Dario or Reed) in the Cup series. He could run Daytona and the Brickyard, and still have enough breaks in the IndyCar schedule to do more of the short track stuff that he enjoys. It would be a situation where he could still try to achieve some of his remaining goals, but also be free of some of the demands of a full Cup series schedule. That would be a true "outlaw" schedule at the highest level of motorsports. Never going to happen, but an interesting scenario to me. I can see him leaving Gibbs, but I think they have some obstacles to address.
