USAC had large crowds and solid car counts when Johny Capels retired (alot of the credit goes to the late Gary Sacola). The main reason USAC pavement sprints were surviving was that Gary had a solid deal with Hoosier and he returned the money to the car owners...then in came USAC"s current administration...aka... "Human Cash Sucker" and now there are no pavement sprints in USAC!!
