The Tradewinds Inn worked well for us. The price is under $100 a night and they have a bar downstairs. Plenty of restaurants & stores in walking distance. $15 cab ride to the Chili Bowl each day. The rooms are a little old & outdated but it helps keep the cost down for the week.
