I think you will like the show (and the weather). The grandstand is first class, as is the sound system. If you have a lawn chair, there is room to sit at the top of the grandstand back of the seats. I think that is the way to go, but you will probably have to get there relatively early the first day (or practice day) to get a place. I don't think I have been to another track with this arrangement. Also, the pits are near the grandstand, so it is not a hike to get from your seat to the pits and back. Good food, including boiled peanuts sold by a very colorful guy.
