Maybe Danny B, or Sprintmandave can figure out how to include the article in yesterday's The Republic, but it was quite interesting, and picked up where the original questions had ended. Seems there was "another" track at Columbus, In, it was indeed in the Taylorsville/Edinburg area, near Driftwood River, and was "officially" the Terrace Lake track, and "unofficially" as the "Hillbilly Park, and evidently was in action in the late 40's, early 50's. Hopefully someone will be able to provide a link to this article, as it is quite interesting, and mentions some of the drivers names that I remember, one being Crowbar Taylor, and Justin King, who went on to be a well known midget racer, and I remember both very well, Justin had a Cab Company, across the street where I worked at a Ford garage, and boy, were they beauties, he always fired them up, before going racing, and it really made this young lad then, heart beat go up.
