Each night of the Gold Crown had a different feel to it. I believe the opening night with midgets only may have been the most competitive all the way through, while the Friday show which played in front of a large crowd had the midgets sharing the program with the MOWA sprints. The track changed after the sprints ran, and the midget racing seemed to be a little less competitive. By Sunday, the groove had moved to the top and there was less track to work with, but the last several laps of the midget feature were very exciting, with lots of action back in the pack. Christopher Bell was simply in another zip code. Overall, a very entertaining event, and one on my must see list every year. I've been to all of them, and I look forward to the announcement of next years dates and the type of program. If it includes sprint cars, I hope it is the non-wing variety.
