Sean, USAC has a pretty strict policy and in fact were very proactive when they knew Shane was wanting to compete with the Western States Series. With all the shots that USAC has taken over the past few years, they really seem to be taking the proverbial bull by the horns on this issue.

Just a note on Shane's performance yesterday, He had never until yesterday even sat in a sprint car and to show up and set quick time break the track record, and pick up the win is a testament to his immense talent.

Congrats to not only Shane but also to Kaplan Racing who finished 1st and 3rd last night.
