Hi Guys, I'm trying to find some history about my latest project. I'm pretty sure this single tube sprint car was built in the 60's. It was raced into the 70's with a bolt on cage & a wing. The last know owner-driver was Mike Zimmerman. He ran with the Tri-Sac group. I would like to find some history of this car before Mike ran it. I pretty sure it is not the correct tail & hood. They are CAE. I compared the chassis to old CAE catalogs , and it is not a CAE chassis. It could be homemade but i doudt it. The workmanship is really good. You can see were there have been modifications done ,the work is pretty shabby. The belly pan & the body side panels are one piece. This would have been difficult to remove or install. The car is rumored to have some USAC history, but i'm not sure. If so, thats how i would like to restore it. It has a 3" halibrand this was probably a update from a 2". The car is pretty nice & very complete. I have never started with a car this complete. If anyone could identify who made the chassis it would be a step in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help. Deek
