They used to try and keep the lower pickup points as much in line with the bearing as possible to provide as much bite as possible but that generally led to the torsion arms having so much angle that they could twist which basically gave away everything they gained unless you went with steel arms to prevent twist. Call XYZ Mfg they offer both and know what they're talking about.
