This is so hard to believe. They hire this guy who was one of the major guys to start CART and run a race against the Indy 500. He tried so hard to destroy USAC, Indy car racing, and the IRL along with the Hulman family. He spent so much engery doing this. Well spoken about CART being the only racing. Remember a large racing team call Forsyte Racing. He ran that in the ground while enjoying the life of CART. You would think the people running the Indy 500, the series would remember what this guy is capable of doing. And his history. This is a giant blow to racing. Where did these people running the Indy 500 have there heads. Terrible leadership choice. Is nobody steering this ship? Also a pro road racing guy to boot. A good question for him would be. How soon will you put the one mile dirts back into the National Championship points chase. Like the day when racing was at it's highest level ever. That will bring the Americans back and the out of country drivers will go home after the 500. Like J. Clark, J. Sewart, and G. Hill did in their day. They didn't even give the one mile dirt racing a try. Therefore they were non champions at the end of the year. Also many Americans had a shot at the Champioship. The best days of racing. Now they do this guy. So sad. I was lucky enough to look in the garage and see 3 cars I had to work on. First a oval chassis, second a road racing chassis and a dirt car chassis. And the grandstands full all the time. Very lucky I was. And now another blow to what we cherished.
