You can go through a court of law, spend thousands on a lawyer, win a judgement, only to be told by the court that "you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip" when it comes to collecting the judgement. My home was burglarized for over $15,000 (cash and jewelry) a few years ago and the criminals were caught. They were ordered to 3.5 years in prison and to make restitution. That money and jewelry was gone within a few hours of them stealing it. The prosecutor later told me, on the side, that there was almost no hope of recovering a penny from these people. If the engine builder had the money to pay the people he ripped off, back, he wouldn't have to be ripping people off in the first place. I seriously doubt that he put all of his crooked earnings into a savings account. Once he sells your "hard earned possessions" off, they're gone forever. I will be astonished if jjsprt92 ever sees any part of his motor or, the money he is owed in lieu of the motor. He'll just have a lawyer to pay for trying to squeeze "blood out of a turnip" using the legal system. I completely understand the frustration of anyone who has dealt with this man. With all of the trouble so many people were having with this guy, I was astonished to see the Throckmorton's sprint car in his shop when I went up to get my stuff out of there. I knew it wasn't going to be a happy ending.
