The view from the stands (car's still not ready) was that it looked slick but smooth, even for the heats.
Slightly off-topic and just an observation, not a rant; it was dusty from the first midget heat on and the wind direction was carrying the grit right into the stands. It was obvious that several casual fans were uncomfortable. Racers get it that track prep is more voodoo than science, but some more moisture might have improved the viewing conditions.
But, back on subject, the Midget feature was a great race, especially the battle behind Billy at the end for 2-4. Even though it was slick it looked racy from the pole to the cushion and the track didn't rut out, making for good slide job opportunities.
