Montpelier Midget Double Header on April 5 and April 6

The Montpelier Motor Speedway in East Central Indiana will celebrate its 110th Anniversary of racing with a Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series Double Header on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6. The two day event will offer a complete racing program and payout for competitors and fans each night. The Montpelier Midget series allows a variety of power plants to compete utilizing an open tire brand/compound rule. The 2012 Midget Series opener saw a nearly standing room only crowd and 27 Midgets signed into competition in an event that was won by Shane Hollingsworth beating Bubba Altig, Thomas Meseraull. Bobby East, and Cameron Hagin to finish line. American Racer and local tire dealer, Tony Rose, will serve as the official presenting trophy sponsor for the Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget series during the 2013 season. Tony can be reached at 317-823-2475 for your American Racer tire needs. The Montpelier Motor Speedway was built in 1903 as ½ mile horse racing track. By the 1950’s auto racing came to the speedway on the ½ mile followed by the construction of the ¼ track in 1986. The Montpelier Motor Speedway will host 10 Midget events during the 2013 season.

Each night will feature a complete show and cash payout.

Camping
- Primitive overnight camping is free for fans and competitors.
- Camp fires permitted. Camp fires must be self contained. Self clean up is required. Please no wood with nails.

Marion, Indiana – Interstate 264 Exit – 15 miles from the track
Gas City, Indiana – Interstate 259 Exit - 20 miles from the track
Portland, Indiana – Indiana Highway 26 – 30 miles from the track

Driver Requirements
- RACEceiver Radios required for 2013 season
- 2013 Montpelier Motor Speedway Competitors License is required for the driver only and is valid for the entire 2013 season. The form can be found on our website and can be pre-entered by March 23. Drivers who pre enter will have their new driver cards returned them through the mail and will be able to skip the license registration line at the pit sign in. Pre-entry will save you time at the track!

Midget Test & Tune – Saturday, March 30
Midget teams are invited to attend our opening night program Saturday, March 30 for a Midget Test and Tune session. Midget competitors will hit the track several times throughout the regular evening of racing turning valuable laps. Pit Pass cost is $25.

Track Championship
- A cash track championship will be paid to competitors at the conclusion of the season at our banquet. Winner received jacket, trophies, and cash. Other in the top 5 or 10, will receive cash payout and trophies.

- Midget Rookie of the Year will begin with the season. If you have 6 or less career starts in a dirt midget division allowing full midgets, than you are eligible for this award. Winner receives jacket and trophy.
