Bob,
As dirt330 said it all depends on where you stay. We have been going for over 25 years but we take the motor home so we don't have to venture out and fight the traffic.
All of your souvenier trailers and tents will be right on or near the speedway property. If you can't find it there, it probably isn't available.

Be happy to share anything we can concerning travel into and out of the area.
Ear protection is a must if you plan on hearing anything for the future. I would also pack plenty of clothing including longjohns and winter type gear. It can get cold in the evenings and if you plan on being out could make the trip a little more comfortable. Most of all bring plenty of patience as the trip in and out of the speedway area will test it. Remember, a lot of these folks partake in a liquid refreshment or twelve

at the track and then try to show everyone who really is the professional race car driver.
Hope you enjoy the trip and let us know if you need anything. Be safe.
Mike
Be nice to people on the way up. You might need them on the way down. Jimmy Durante
