You'll never again see someone like Kevin Doty, John Heydenreich, or Steve Buckwalter battle for the win at the end of a Chili Bowl. That is sad. Seeing a family owned midget driver take on a national hot shoe raises the hair on the back of my neck, and that hasn't happened to me for several years. That's what's exciting to me, not domination by big money teams. Then, groom the track to keep the front teams at the front and you have the worst race in Chili Bowl history.
