In 1963 Mario won three ARDC midget features in one day. An afternoon race at Flemington, N.J. and a pair of wins at Hatfield. PA. that evening. He was driving for the Mataka brothers of Phillipsburg, N.J. and they have since numbered their cars 3n1.
