Thanks Bob Sell and others for taking pictures and putting them online. I did take some of my own and put the on the Lawrenceburg Speedway website for viewing and a update. Unfortunatly the pictures are kinda small on the website. I greatly appreciate everyones patience on this huge undertaking of the new track. As Jerry Shaw mentioned, Its a really big project. Its not just as simple as moving dirt and stretching the track. The entire facility is undergoing a major renovation. What these constuction crews have done in a short time and in the winter months is unbelievable. Whenever construction is done there is always the question of when will it be completed. Well i would like to say the answer to that but the truth of the matter is nobody knows.
The project is scheduled to be completed April 1st and you all know what day that is...lol. We will all just have to wait and see. Everyone involved are working as hard as possible to meet this deadline. The finished work will be worth the wait. I am told we will be ready to have a practice the 1st week in April. Also some of the final touches will be completed as the season is already underway.
