Looks to me like the cbr pan is like most motorcycles pans have the oil pick up in a deep central part of the pan. When setting flat in a race car first the motor will sit awfully tall in the car and since the car does not lean like a motorcycle the oil might be pulled out of the sump under hard cornering. Dry sump is neat but it sure can cause problems in a race car I know.
Most racers would cut the pan and add alluminum plate to make a flat pan, then they would move the oil pickup to the right rear of the pan. there are some guys up here doing that and probably some guys down there doing it also.
