Somewhat vague on details ....
*There is an orientation meeting for all Champ Car teams at IMS tomorrow - 6 or 7 team owners expected to attend.
* There will be a press conference Wednesday at Homestead during the IRL test ... ( a test for Champ Car teams will be held in March at Sebring ).
* Apparently the dates for Long Beach ( Champ Car ) and Motegi ( IRL ) on April 19th and 20th respectively are a go as scheduled with points for each to IRL.
* The Champ Car Atlantic Series continues as a separate entity ... no further details , yet. ( ? )

There are many unanswered questions ... Wednesday should give further clarity to the things most people want to know.

The following is what I have learned from here in Indy :

Kalkhoven's PKV team is most likely on-board with 2 cars ; Kalkhoven partner Gentilozzi is not ; Walker Racing will join if sponsorship is found ( financing / funds must be proven to qualify for Dallara & Honda provided equipment ) ; Newman-Haas is a go with 2 cars ; Forsythe has indicated interest but no committment yet , but Paul Tracy is ready ; Dale Coyne is doubtful for one car ; three other teams are wait and see if at all. Possible net gain is projected to be 7 or 8 cars after everything shakes out. These would be full time IRL and making a two year commitment.

Look for a 25 car field in the regular series ( 18 IRL / 7 from the former CCWS ).

There will be more than 8 Indy 500 only teams to easily make up the 33 car starting grid on May 25.
