Even though we would like to see sprint car drivers move into the Indy Car series the fact is that their best chance of moving up anymore is in NASCAR. I really do not see Nascar teams going after spint car drivers if this race were to happen (unless they are WoO drivers). I do however see them going after Dirt Late Model Drivers. These guys are racing on TV every week. Many weeks multiple episodes are shown. These drivers are becoming popular enough to have murchandise trailers following them around. Let face it Scott Bloomquist or Jimmy Owens bring much more to the table money then say Dave Darland or (place any sprint sprint car drivers name). Now the only varience to this would be putting Sammy, Steve, or Donny in the truck. Even these guys are not getting 1/2 the exposure the Dirt Late Model guys are getting.
The only other way I see an open wheel guy getting a chance to drive in this race would be if they are already in a development program.
