Thanks, all. Right now the plans are to bring Jackslash's little buddy with me up north. We plan to leave soon enough for him to hit the pits in search of a ride for the night. He's tired of pretending to be TMez or Coleman and wants to be himself.
Maybe a coincidence (though I don't believe in them), but the first names of the first two respondents are essentially the same as my two children, even though my daughter spells it a bit differently.
The Cowboy reminds me of a funny Marv Fish/Dave Rudisell/Gas City story. A few years ago Dave apparently called Marv to ask if he wanted to ride up to Gas City; Dave would drive. Marv said, sure thing. Dave asked, when do you want to leave? Marv said, hell, we can leave right now if you want; I'm retired, remember?
Or something like that. Marv or Dave can confirm.
