So if group qualifing is to be used, a cap of say, 4 cars would be easy enough as a fan to follow, and cars can be spread out enough to really give it their best run. Just a thought.

ill take qualifying of any kind. it is such an important part of racing it takes less time to qualify than to clean up wrecks in the heats when u have guys 2 sec. slower starting in front.we went to lawrenceburg once this year and drew last in our heat. since i had never raced with these drivers before i did not no who was slow and who was fast. they droped the green and going in to turn one on the second lap i was in second slid in hard on bottom leader just changed lanes i was already sliding no way to stop we hit door to door. and i get sent to the tail for rough driving (first time ever in 28 years of racing) on the restart 3 cars get togather in front of me i get collected cost me 2000 $ in repairs. if we would have used r hot lap times i would not have been back there since we turned the fastest lap. and the track would have gotten alot more of my money by now cause we would have went back several times by now and i always bring atleast 8 to 10 pit passes with me. just venting a little lol
