Of course, we are comparing apples to oranges, but that doesn't change the fact that the MSR sprints were faster than the winged ISMA Supers at Oswego. I like both series cars, so I don't have any prejudice in this discussion. I saw what I saw though.

I had to sort of chuckle at one person's comment that the Sprints are lighter and have a weight advantage, etc. Although the Supers are heavier, let's not forget that they have a lower center of gravity, non-static multi-paneled wings, ground effects, along with independent front suspensions on some of them.

MSR is a new series, and they will grow and improve. In my opinion, they are doing a fantastic job of marketing their program and booking races where they can showcase their talent to a new audience. The stands were packed. Everyone I sat near enjoyed the racing. If you had asked me before the show started, I would have bet that the Supers would be much faster than traditional upright winged sprints. I'm glad I didn't make that bet, because I was wrong.

I saw the same thing you saw Sharon, I just look at it differntly. I do agree MSRXSS is doing a great job marketing their racing program for the sprint cars. I hope to see their series continue to grow and return to Oswego not only for Labor Day Weekend this year but also for several dates next year.
