Im the type that feels I get my monies worth out of 4 sprint heats, a B and and A feature and done. If the whole event last 2 hours, great!
Let's take this a step farther. When it's this hot, how about we start about 8:00 or 8:30 and use transponders for multi-car at a time qualifying, then forgo heat races and just use the times to line up the feature. (plus a semi if needed.) Maybe add 10-15 laps to the feature to account for the lack of heat races.

I'm not sure how many fans would show up if tracks did this, but I know I wouldn't mind being able to wait until 7:00 or 7:30 to get to the track when it's 95-100 degrees.
